A spring voyage connecting four distinctly different worlds — Toba's legendary pearl diving coast, the solemn beauty and remarkable renewal of Hiroshima, the vibrant energy of Busan, and Shimizu's sweeping views of Mt. Fuji across the bay.

Itinerary

day 1 | Yokohama

Begin your cruise in vibrant Yokohama, a modern port city with a sweeping bayfront skyline. Take time to stroll through the Minato Mirai district, explore nearby Chinatown, or simply enjoy views of the harbor and ships coming and going. This is a great opportunity to settle into your suite, explore Mitsui Ocean Fuji’s onboard spaces, and get acquainted with the ship before departure. Be sure to keep your camera handy for panoramic shots of the waterfront and city lights as evening falls.

day 2 | Toba

Arrive in charming Toba, known for its calm bays, pearl cultivation, and gentle coastal landscapes. Spend your day soaking in sea views, visiting local temples or shrines, or joining an optional excursion to nearby islands and viewpoints. The coastline offers a relaxed, small-town feel that contrasts beautifully with Japan’s big cities. Enjoy the fresh sea air and take plenty of photos of the rocky shores, fishing boats, and open water vistas.

day 3 | At sea

Enjoy a leisurely day at sea as Mitsui Ocean Fuji charts a course along the Pacific. Take advantage of the ship’s many comforts: unwind on deck with a book, indulge in spa treatments, or join onboard enrichment talks and entertainment. Sea days are perfect for slowing down, watching the horizon, and savoring the feeling of being truly away from it all. As the sun sets over the water, capture the ever-changing colors of sky and sea from your veranda or the open decks.

day 4 | Hiroshima

Today brings you to Hiroshima, a dynamic city shaped by its powerful history and enduring spirit of peace. You may wish to visit the Peace Memorial Park and Museum, the Atomic Bomb Dome, or join an excursion to the sacred island of Miyajima with its iconic torii gate. Between reflective memorials and scenic riverside walks, Hiroshima offers a meaningful and memorable day ashore. Expect a blend of moving stories, resilient architecture, and tranquil green spaces.

day 5 | Busan

Cross the sea to Busan, South Korea’s lively port city framed by mountains and beaches. Wander along the bustling waterfront, explore colorful neighborhoods like Gamcheon Culture Village, or browse local markets for street food and souvenirs. Busan’s bridges and harbor create a striking skyline, especially in the early morning or evening light. Enjoy the contrast in culture and cuisine as you sample Korea’s flavors and warm hospitality.

day 6 | At sea

Another peaceful day at sea gives you time to fully enjoy Mitsui Ocean Fuji’s relaxed rhythm. Linger over breakfast with ocean views, attend a class or lecture, or simply unwind by the pool with the sea breeze around you. With no schedule on shore, this is your chance to recharge, try new onboard experiences, and savor long, unhurried moments on deck. Sunset this evening offers yet another chance for dramatic photos of sea and sky.

day 7 | Shimizu

Wake to views of Shimizu, one of Japan’s most scenic ports and a classic gateway to Mount Fuji. On a clear day, you may see the snow-capped peak rising behind the city and bay. Consider joining an excursion that brings you closer to Fuji or explore the waterfront and local markets at a more relaxed pace. Shimizu is ideal for atmospheric photos of ships, shoreline, and Japan’s most famous mountain in the distance.

day 8 | Yokohama

Your journey concludes back in Yokohama, where the skyline and harbor welcome you once more. After breakfast, disembark Mitsui Ocean Fuji and continue your travels or transfer to the airport or Tokyo. You may wish to spend additional time in Yokohama or nearby Tokyo to explore museums, shopping districts, or gardens. As you say farewell to the ship, you’ll carry home memories of serene sea days, vibrant ports, and the refined comfort of your cruise.
