Itinerary

day 1 | Yokohama

Your journey begins in vibrant Yokohama, a modern port city framed by skyscrapers, a sparkling bay, and views toward Mount Fuji on clear days. Enjoy wandering the waterfront promenades, visiting the lively Minato Mirai district, or simply taking in the skyline from the ship’s decks. This call is a gentle introduction to Japan, giving you time to adjust, explore at your own pace, and savor your first Japanese meals ashore. Be sure to keep your camera handy for beautiful harbor and cityscape views.

day 2 | Nagoya

Nagoya blends cutting-edge modernity with deep tradition, from its shimmering skyline to the iconic Nagoya Castle. Spend your day exploring cultural highlights, browsing department stores and shopping arcades, or sampling local specialties such as hitsumabushi (grilled eel over rice). The port offers easy access into the city center, where efficient trains and subways make independent exploration straightforward. Expect a full but flexible day with many options to tailor your experience.

day 3 | At sea

This relaxing day at sea is designed for you to enjoy the ship and recharge between ports. Take advantage of onboard amenities such as lounges, pools, enrichment talks, and spa facilities, or simply find a quiet corner to read and watch the changing seascape. Sea days are perfect for leisurely breakfasts and lingering over coffee or tea as you plan upcoming ports. As evening falls, look out for vivid sunrises and sunsets over the open ocean from the decks.

day 4 | Ibusuki

Ibusuki, on the southern tip of Kyushu, is famous for its natural hot springs and unique sand baths, where you are gently buried in warm, geothermal sand. This laid-back port is ideal for experiencing Japan’s onsen culture in a relaxed coastal setting. Between visits to bathhouses, enjoy views of Kagoshima Bay and the surrounding volcanic landscape. The day offers a balance of wellness, gentle exploration, and time to soak in the tranquil atmosphere.

day 5 | Sasebo

Sasebo is a scenic harbor city on Kyushu known for its beautiful bays, nearby islands, and maritime history. From the port, you can explore viewpoints over the Kujukushima ("99 Islands"), stroll the waterfront, or visit local markets and cafés. The city has a relaxed, international feel due to its long naval heritage, offering an interesting contrast to larger Japanese ports. Look forward to coastal panoramas and a comfortable, medium-paced day ashore.

day 6 | Jeju

Jeju Island, just off the coast of South Korea, is renowned for its dramatic volcanic landscapes, rugged coastlines, and subtropical ambience. Depending on your chosen excursion, you might visit waterfalls, lava cliffs, or traditional villages dotted with stone walls and tangerine groves. The island’s fresh sea air and sweeping ocean views make this port a scenic highlight of the voyage. Expect a day of impressive natural scenery, plenty of photo opportunities, and a taste of Korean culture.

day 7 | Hakata

Arrive in Hakata, the gateway to northern Kyushu.

Fukuoka's historic port district pairs temples and long-standing festivals with energetic shopping streets, waterfront life, and the city's celebrated ramen and yatai food stalls.
