Knitting Along the Norwegian Coast
With Danish knitwear designer and author Lotte Rahbek
Join Danish knitwear designer Lotte Rahbek, author of three knitting books, for a special knitting experience inspired by Nordic traditions and the beauty of Norway.
Throughout the voyage, Lotte will host a series of creative workshops exploring knitting techniques, textures, colour combinations and design inspiration. Participants will begin a specially designed knitting project during the first workshop and continue working on it throughout the journey. The workshops offer opportunities to learn new techniques, exchange ideas and enjoy knitting together in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. The programme will also explore Nordic knitting traditions. Where time and local arrangements allow, there may be opportunities to visit local yarn shops and knitting workshops along the way.
About Lotte Rahbek
Lotte Rahbek is a Danish knitwear designer and author of three knitting books: "Knits for Little Ones", "Nordic Sailors & Fishermen’s Sweaters" and "NORMA Knitting Inspired by the 1950s”.
Her books have been published internationally and translated into several languages. Her designs are characterised by clean lines, subtle details and carefully chosen colours, often drawing inspiration from history and Nordic knitting traditions.
Through her work, Lotte brings traditional inspiration into modern knitwear designed for everyday life.
