Highlights

Itinerary

day 1 | Busan

With around four million inhabitants, Busan is the second largest metropolis on South Korea, after Seoul. This dynamic harbour city, located in the south-east, surrounded by the warm waters of the Sea of Japan, benefits from a mild, pleasant climate. You’ll find delightful simply to stroll around the lively streets and explore the city’s outstanding cultural heritage of art galleries, museums, and Buddhist sites, such as the Haedong Yonggungsa temple, which elegantly sits on the waterfront. Rich too in magnificent beaches and superlative natural landscapes, Busan’s peaceful atmosphere will win you over, as will its inhabitants, whom you’ll have the pleasure of meeting.

White-sand city beaches and hot-spring resorts may not be everyone's first image of Korea, but these are what Koreans flock to Busan for all year. And there are plenty of opportunities for rest, relaxation, retail therapy, and even a touch of glamour every October with the Busan International Film Festival. Busan's beaches are the big summertime draw but there is plenty to be seen year round. Quintessential experiences include taking some rest and relaxation at a local spa and exploring the Beomeosa temple complex.

day 4 | Keelung (Chilung)

On the north-east tip of Taiwan, the harbour city of Keelung stands on one of the most beautiful coasts on the island. Nearby is the spectacular natural park of Yehliu, famed for its striking rock formations. It's easy to tour the city's historical sites on trails that cross the lush green hills surrounding the harbour from Chung Cheng Park to Fort Ershawan, you can enjoy superb views of Keelung and the coastline. But the main attraction is the Miaokou night market, where you can taste some typically Taiwanese culinary delights.

With the glittering lights of Taipei - a futuristic metropolis of culture and ideas - sparkling nearby, Keelung is the first calling point for many visitors arriving in Taiwan. While this port city essentially serves as Taipei's ocean gateway, you shouldn’t be too hasty in dashing off to Taipei's neon-lit magic – first it’s well worth spending some time exploring the famous glowing night market, which hums with life each evening and is famous for its local seafood.

Le Soléal

Le Soléal (Ponant)
Le Soléal further reaffirms PONANT's signature approach: taking passengers to the farthest reaches of the planet onboard five-star ships that offer top-of-the-range services. The vessel subtly combines luxury, intimacy, and serene well-being, designed to offer guests moments of both conviviality and peaceful tranquility.

Key characteristics of the ship include:

  • Design and Ambiance: Le Soléal presents an elegant appearance and a refined interior design, combining them with cutting-edge technology to offer "adventure in a luxury setting." The ingenious and refined exterior and interior lines testify to the design of the sister ships. The overall ambiance is the chic and naturally relaxing atmosphere of a veritable private yacht, achieved through a unique style created by French designers and decorators.

Color Palette: The interior decoration draws inspiration from the tones and colors of its destinations, using a palette of blues that ranges from the soft, luminous grey-like tones of polar ice to the vivid notes and turquoises of Mediterranean inlets and coves.

  • Capacity: She sails in the polar regions with less than 200 guests.
